Spring has arrived out of nowhere. All the flowering trees are gorgeous and the grass is green. When I wake up in the morning, I can hear birds chirping. That sort of thing really puts a smile on my face. Yesterday we had a tornado warning at about ten at night. The sirens went off right after I had said to my step-mom, "Hey, it looks like this storm is going to hit us any second. Maybe we should get some flashlights out." And then BAM! there were the sirens. It really caused a lot of confusion in my household. My siblings had just fallen asleep and I was on my way to take a shower. Obviously, it didn't happen. This is off topic but, did you know that you arn't supposed to take a shower durring a lightning storm?! But even thought it caused stress and disruption, I was still mildly happy because you know it's truely spring when you have tornado warnings. What types of severe weather do you have where ever it is that you live?
Have a swell day!

So, I take it you're one of Kat's friends? Awesome. I love the layout of your blog.
I'm glad that you didn't get hit by a tornado, tons of places are being absolutely devastated by them. And no! I didn't know you shouldn't shower during a lightning storm...but i do now, thank you.
While it is raining here, we don't really get too much severe weather in DC, mainly ice storms and what's left of hurricanes. We're too coastal usually for tornadoes and we don't get earthquakes...something to do with the plates (i have no idea, thats a guess).
so anyway, just dropping by to say hey.
...tornado warning's, well i have never had to go through a tornado and i think it probably safe to say i never will, i doubt there very common in the u.k, i think the worst weather i've ever had to live through is a really bad storm, but nothing like that. i guess we have floods and stuff here but nope no tornados. we don't live near enough to tectonic plates for earth quakes either.
Oh wow! I'm glad you're okay!
Aha, I actually did know that but only because my brother was taking a shower during a storm one night and the power went out...he was covered in suds and looked like a dork.
I'm where line is so like she said it's not too bad. although a couple days ago we did feel an earthquake out where I am...weird I know....
Ohh dinner time! Yum!
bye!
to all,
yeah, i know crazy! i never knew that you shouldn't shower durring a lightning storm either. i only found out when the myth busters did weather related myths. so i guess you can get electricuted if a lightning blot strikes your house.
line,
thanks for dropping by my blog. i'm glad you like the layout! i just changed it sometime this week. D.C. seems like a good place to live because of the mild weather. it's like all good things wrapped into one.
m,m,m
i'm glad you don't have any worry of tornados. i have in the back of my head this crazy idea to move to the uk when i'm older. i really don't like america and all the trouble it gets into. and how cool would it be to already know the language! or maybe australia.
kat,
we felt an earthquake in the mid-west a few weeks ago! do you and line know each other?! because you seem like you do. maybe i'm just crazy. ohh, who am i kidding, i already know i'm crazy! hope dinner was good!
have a swell day!

ha, thanks. yeah, last night I looked up "how long does hair grow in a day?" and i found it grows about 4mm a day. 1/2 an inch a month. It's a pretty trim/fix-able, though.
It will be sort of short, but that's okay! my dad's taking me to a pro tomorrow. XP Though, I think we've all tried to cut our hair ourselves at least once, whether we were young and silly or just trying to save time and money.
I vaguely remember cutting my hair once when I was around six...
weather's pretty good wher i live. i mean, we have blizzards from time to time, and thunderstorms, and heat waves, and sometimes we get severe rains during hurricane season, but other than that, it's great weather.
I'm dying it blue. What's your natural color of hair? Mine (in case you can't tell from teh pic) is really dark blond with the smallest amount of red. XD
BLUE?!?!?!
I think we can get tornados where I live, but we haven't had a warning for one in a couple of years. There's regular thunderstorms though, and the occasional slight flooding. All in all, not that bad. :)
btw, I LOVE your backround!
vynn,
yeah, i also rember cutting my hair when i was about five or six. but in all honesty, it was a complete accident. as i recall, i had tied the string of my bath robe around my head so that i would look like a ninja. it got stuck. i didn't was to get in trouble so insted i tried to fix it on my own. bad idea. my dad freaked when he saw my hair. that's about the time that i got more than half my hair chopped off professionally. quite sad.
my natural hair color is blonde. i've never dyed it but if i could it would be brown. how long does the dye stay in?
griffinrider,
your weather sounds pretty similar to mine. we have severe snow, rain, but no heat waves.
and i'm quite interested in the elderly ladies yelling at you! tell me more.
alannah,
this year has been pretty bad with flooding where i live. your weather sounds pretty moderate, lucky!
and thanks about the background! i really like it, too. i got it on pyzam.com if you're interested.
talk to you all later!
